The Faculty of Mathematics of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi is pleased to announce the International Student Conference on Pure and Applied Mathematics (ISCOPAM), which takes place in Iasi, Romania, from July 12th to July 16th, 2010. This event is part of the anniversary of 150 years since the foundation of the "Al. I. Cuza" University of Iasi and of 100 years since the foundation of the "Alexandru Myller" Mathematical Seminar of the University of Iasi.

The aim of ISCOPAM is to bring together graduate and undergraduate student researchers in various areas of mathematics. This conference continues a series of successful national annual conferences organized by the Faculty of Mathematics for students in the last five years.

The graduate and undergraduate students involved in mathematical research are invited to give a scientific talk or a poster presentation describing their work and to attend talks on a host of current research topics in pure and applied mathematics. All PhD students and young researchers which recently finished their PhD programs are welcome to ISCOPAM. Participants will have the opportunity to build and strengthen lasting personal and professional relationships and to gain valuable experience in the environment of a scientific conference.
