August 26, 2025 - There are three main ways to get from the airport to the city center:
- From the airport there is a bus to the city, bus nr. 50: https://sctpiasi.ro/en/routes/connections. It runs every 30 minutes from the airport. You should get down at Piata Unirii. From there you can walk to Akademos. You can purchase a ticket from inside the bus with a debit/credit card from some blue device looking like this https://ctpcj.ro/index.php/ro/tarife/bilete-contactless. You can also install the app 24pay https://www.24pay.ro and use that. A ticket is now 4 lei (which is below 1 euro) and is valid for 2 hours on all means of public transport.
- You can take Uber/Bolt (depending on the hour it will be from 25 lei to maybe 35 lei)
- There are cabs in front of the airport. They will use the meter but they have a fare of 5 lei/km (1Euro). You can sometimes pay by card but you should ask before getting in. There are also cabs with smaller prices (3.5 lei/km) that can come close to the airport but not right in front of it.
May 8, 2025 - The deadline for registration has been extended to June 30, 2025!
April 26, 2025 - The only way to book a room in one of the hotels of the university (Akademos or Gaudeamus) is by indicating this on the registration form, and the payment will be made in Iaşi during the conference. These hotels are not in the public circuit, reservation or payment cannot be made through a travel agency or any other person! The participants desiring to book a room in some other hotel should do this themselves, using the usual procedures (hotel web page, travel agency etc.) There is no person or organization designated by us for dealing with the accomodation for the participants.
January 23, 2025 - The Arithmetic and Algebraic Geometry Week in Iaşi (AAG 2025) will be organized between September 1-5, 2025, at the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iaşi, Romania, with the participation of the "Simion Stoilow" Mathematical Institute in Bucharest.

The conference will cover recent advances in algebraic and arithmetic geometry, on subjects corresponding to the sections listed below.
The event will include two transversal mini-courses (4 hours each):
- Kestutis CESNAVICIUS (Université Paris-Saclay, France): Generically trivial torsors under algebraic groups.
- Ulf KÜHN (Universität Hamburg, Germany): Mini course on (formal) multiple zeta values.
Plenary speakers:

- Carlo GASBARRI (Université de Strasbourg, France)
- Victoria HOSKINS (University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany)

Conference fee and financial support
There is no registration fee for AAG 2025.
The funding available will be used for supporting accomodation expenses in the university hotels, with priority for young participants. If interested, please tick the appropriate box on the registration form.
